Since our founding in 2001, Nomensa has grown into an internationally renowned user experience (UX) agency with a reputation for exceptional thinking and design delivery.

We have over 100 people spread across our Bristol, London and Amsterdam offices, making us one of Europe’s largest specialist UX agencies.

Nomensa people

We know companies always say it, but our team truly is chock-full of brilliant, passionate and imaginative minds. Each of us sees the world from an inimitable and invaluable perspective, and it’s these unique experiences, traits and skills that form the foundations for our strategies. Plus, we spend most of our lives working – so, why not enjoy it? We love to have fun and laugh with each other.

We have a specially-created in-house team dedicated to keeping our staff smiling. We call them our Chief Happiness Officers (CHOs). Now, they may sound like they’re out of 1984, but they’re here to recognise greatness (not take you to Room 101). They make sure everyone is – you guessed it – happy. They want people to feel valued and heard and that the work they’re doing has a purpose.

Expect our CHOs to appear armed with cake, a hot chocolate on a wintery morning or an ice cream in midsummer; basically, anything that may lift the teams’ spirits or keep them motivated. Meanwhile, our ‘Let’s Recognise’ scheme serves to celebrate each other’s achievements. We’re committed to creating an exciting and engaging workplace.

Nomensa locations


Occupying two colourful floors in Queens Square, our Bristol office features a bounty of meeting rooms, breakout spaces and enough whiteboard walls and Post-It notes to fit an army of UXers.

Its location makes it the perfect spot on summer days when it seems the entirety of the office escapes off into Queen Square or onto the banks of the harbourside.


Our Amsterdam office, first opened in 2016, is close to the city’s famed, snaking canals and is surrounded by galleries, theatres and green spaces. While it’s smaller than the Bristol branch, it still every ounce Nomensan.


We opened our London office near Oxford Street back in 2013. The move represented our big ideas for the Big Smoke and acted as the first step of our European expansion plan. In 2018, the small, but perfectly-formed London team moved to new offices in Marylebone.
